Apprentice Assessment fortnight begins at CASS
At CASS we have decided that we should make our first venture into the government sponsored apprenticeship scheme.
We will take on 2 or 3 apprentices this year and we have been working closely with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) to ensure that we get the best possible value from this initiative. We have decided that we will run a 2 week selection process with 5 individuals between the ages of 16 to 19 years old from the local area. Our selection process includes a few classroom sessions in our improvised marquee at the front of our office. We are also securing a “safe area” in our yard to give the potential apprentices the chance to practice very simple scaffolding structures.
During the whole two weeks here the 5 candidates will be observed and assessed and will receive detailed feedback at the end of each week. We wish all the candidates the best of luck and look forward to working with the successful candidates.
