CASS Apprentices

CASS have recently employed six new scaffolding apprentices through the difficult COVID period and we have been fortunate to be able to allocate two young men to two major clients to serve their apprenticeship.

Morgan Sindall and Bouygues have two sites in Barry, Whitmore High School and Pencoedtre High School respectively and agreed to have a CASS apprentice working on their sites.  CASS offered the local youngsters an opportunity to start a career in scaffolding and gaining vital experience with large scale clients.

The young men recently attended training at the new training facility in Swansea and have taken their first steps to building a profession.  All training was carried out under the current COVID regulations.

“We have wanted to employ more apprentices over the last couple of years but due to the lack of training facilities it has been far more difficult that we anticipated, but with the new centre in Swansea this has given us the perfect opportunity. We want to be able to add to these new apprentices and due to the shortage of skills in the scaffolding industry we are constantly looking ahead to offer young people the chance of gaining a career and great opportunities” said Tom Gent, CASS Managing Director
