CASS Care

As part of the Mental Health Awareness Week, CASS have been active in improving the support that is available to the staff and scaffolding operatives within the company..

Clair Poulton attended the Mental Health and Substance Abuse within Construction seminar at Sophia Gardens on Wednesday 15th May 2019, which covered the major issue within the industry that needs to be addressed.

The seminar highlighted the support that is available and how companies can support their teams.  As part of improving what CASS can do, the team have worked together with the local Vale of Glamorgan Mental Health team and have produced a booklet which has been given to every person within the company.

This booklet offers advice and important contact details of numerous support groups and associations throughout South Wales.  Alongside this CASS will be appointing a Health Champion within the organisation so that the extra support can be given.

“Being able to produce this booklet was important to us as a company and if we can help in any way to improving the wellbeing of any of our staff then it was essential for us to do” said Tom Gent, CASS Managing Director.

The booklet will be given to each individual at induction and regular toolbox talks will cover topics within it.
