CASS Go Back to School!

CASS will be working with Morgan Sindall on the development of the new £32m Whitmore High School in Barry.

We were recently awarded the scaffolding contract and work will start on Thursday 19th December.  The school is based on the land of Barry Comprehensive School with the aim of improving the facilities both inside and outside for the students and teachers.

The school is set to be replaced with a new three-storey building which will house 1,100 students and will include six form facilities. The school will also have indoor sports facilities and an all-weather pitch and games court, alongside landscaped grounds. The school is to be open to students in September 2021 and once the work on the new build has been completed the demolition of the existing school will start.

“Having the opportunity to work on this project is great for us at CASS.  We are also looking forward to building a working relationship with Morgan Sindall on this amazing project.  We are a local company and to be involved in the development of this school is important as we can support the local economy and be part of the history of Barry” said Tom Gent, CASS Managing Director.
