CASS Helping to Climb Everest

CASS will be building the scaffold tower for the Firefighters from South Wales to complete the World Record Ladder Climb challenge on Saturday 19th August 2017.

The firefighters will climb the height of Mount Everest which is 8848 metres high by climbing up and down the scaffold tower situated in the Hayes in Cardiff, using a 13.5m ladder.

And just to make this even more difficult the 20 firefighters will be wearing full firefighting kit with breathing apparatus to complete this enduring challenge.  All monies raised will go to both the Firefighters Charity  and Velindre.  The aim is to complete as quickly and safely as possible but could take up to five hours, so please come and support the team during this time.

CASS are pleased to be able to sponsor this event by providing the scaffold and want to wish the group all the very best on the day and hope that a new world record is achieved.
