CASS In School Again!
CASS have recently been awarded the scaffolding contract on the new Pencoedtre High School in Barry. The project is being managed by Bouygues and this is the second major school in the Vale of Glamorgan that CASS have successfully won.
The £34m school will be a new build and will aim to cater for over 1250 pupils by 2026. Work has recently started on the three-storey main building which will include a dining hall, main hall and courtyard along with a sixth form area and all-weather sports pitch and games courts.
The current school was built in 1971 and is now beyond economical repair and is not of a standard to offer 21st century teaching and learning to the students in the local area.
“We are so pleased to be involved in this project and working with Bouygues once again. The school will be another addition to the education facilities in Barry and it feels that we have been fortunate to be part of this needed development which will offer all the young people of the area a great learning journey” said Tom Gent, CASS Managing Director.
