Complex Atrium Birdcage completed By CASS for ISG at University of West of Enland
CASS has almost completed its work with partner ISG plc on the new Business and Law Faculty building at the University of West of England Frenchay Campus in Bristol.
This very complex project included the provision of internal birdcage scaffolding to allow the construction of a large atrium. In addition CASS supplied and erected 25 metres of Haki stair cases and 11 lifts of working scaffolding on the western side of the building.
Jonny Wingren, the CASS Project Supervisor said “This has been one of the most complex jobs I have worked on in my time at CASS. It has been a great experience working closely with the team from ISG and I am looking forward to working with them again in the very near future once this UWE job is finished.”
In total CASS has supplied more than 230 tonnes of scaffolding gear to this site. This has been partly made up of around 26,000 fittings, 8,100 scaffolding tubes, 4,100 boards and 87 aluminium beams. Project completion target is later in 2016.
