Jon Wingren has been awarded a Green Card by ISG at the University of West of England.
On this occasion Jon had noticed the potential of falling objects hitting people accessing the main entrance to the site.
In order to protect these people Jon erected a safety cover, using scaffolding, above the walkway at the main entrance which protects workers from any falling items and debris. Jon took this action on his own initiative and carried out the work at no charge to ISG.
The ISG nominator commented that Jon’s work had averted a situation which could have caused injury, damage or harm. Jon was also seen to have alerted management of the hazard and was recognised as consistently working well, setting a good example to other workers on site.
The protective shelter that Jon has erected will be particularly important as the CASS team start to dismantle the scaffolding as the job nears completion later this month.
Congratulations to Jonny once again for the recognition of his excellent work particularly in ensuring the health and safety of all staff on site.
